June 2009 Welcome Home Elder Cosby!

Our beloved son, brother, and uncle Elder Jacob Daniel Cosby  returns home from his service in the Florida Tallahassee Mission of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints June 25, 2009.  He has had a very successful mission, bringiing honor to his family and the Savior in whose service he has been.. We are very excited to see him and hear from him and also to gather with other family members. What a blessing it has been to us to have four sons choose to dedicate two years of their lives in losing themselves in love and service to others.  Welcome home Elder Cosby!--the fourth!  We love you and are so proud of the fine man you have become and will continue to become!

I Love IBM!

I thought it would be appropriate to bid IBM a fond farewell. I have been from Prudoe Bay, Alaska to Marseille, France with IBM and almost every state of the union. I have met with C-suite executives many times, with federal and state legislators, governors, mayors, and all kinds of business folks, engineers and scientists. I have paid for seven kids with the money I earned from IBM and two of them were $30K+ babies. It has been a wonderful and rewarding career and I couldn't have asked for more. On top of it all, your mother and I will enjoy a pension and other benefits from IBM for the rest of our lives. Now that I am moving on to another company and career, I wanted you to know that I will forever have IBM blue coursing through my veins. Eventhough I had the opportunity, I could not bring myself to interview with a direct IBM competitor during my job search. There will always be a tender spot in my heart for big blue ( I was not paid to post this).  Dad
